See how much margin a book has built into a two-sided market.
Hold Percentage—
What is the Hold Calculator?
Hold is the bookmaker's edge on a market: the amount by which the two sides' implied probabilities exceed 100%. Lower hold means cheaper betting. Comparing the best available price on each side across different books finds "low hold" markets — useful for churning promo funds cheaply, and when the hold goes negative, that's an arbitrage.
How to use it
1.Enter the best available odds for each side of the market (they can be from different books).
2.The hold percentage is how much the market keeps of every dollar bet across both sides.
Example
-110 / -110 is a 4.54% hold. +100 at one book and -102 at another is roughly a 1% hold — a cheap market. +105 / -102 would be negative hold: free money.
